As a dedicated counselor educator, I am actively engaged in the core areas of teaching, research, and service. In the classroom, I strive to create inclusive, experiential learning environments that prepare students to become ethical, culturally responsive, and competent counselors. My research focuses on topics that matter deeply to me—particularly the long-term healing and thriving of women who have survived intimate partner violence. I am committed to producing scholarship that informs practice, empowers communities, and supports counselor development.

Beyond teaching and research, I am deeply involved in service to the counseling profession through active participation in local, regional, and national professional organizations. Through leadership roles, committee work, and conference involvement, I contribute to the growth of the field while staying connected to current trends and the evolving needs of both counselors-in-training and practicing professionals. This integrative approach allows me to bridge theory and practice, while supporting the next generation of counselors and advancing the profession as a whole.
